Ironfin is a Greater Toronto Area studio. We build a thing that doesn’t exist yet, in a place that does, so the people who have to approve it can see it before it’s built. That means topographically accurate 3D visualization, drone photogrammetry and VR walkthroughs, built for projects across Canada that change a real landscape and need approval, including more than a decade of work supporting open-pit mining permits and consultation.

Our site-based visualizations are grounded in real project data, using sources such as survey data, topographic data, satellite imagery, site photography, and drone photogrammetry. That grounding is why our renders get mistaken for footage, and why they hold up in the settings that matter: regulatory review, public hearings, and community consultation. Built for a date.
Almost every project is paced by something fixed: a hearing, a comment period, a submission deadline, a council meeting. We scope backwards from that date rather than forwards from the kickoff, and we tell you at quote stage whether it is achievable. If it is not, you hear that at the quote, not in week five. If your date moves, tell us early and we will re-plan against it.
How a project is staffed.
Visualization and Unreal Engine production are held in-house. Drone capture is flown under our own RPAS certification rather than subcontracted out. Design, photography and production support, and the coordination side of a project, requirements, resourcing, contracts and next steps, are handled by specialists who have worked on Ironfin projects for years, including mining work.
At the top end.
The largest project to date was a short film covering the full lifecycle of a mine, produced over a year. It combined 3D visualization, live drone footage, filmed interviews, community consultation sessions, voiceover and multilingual captioning. Most work is considerably smaller and faster. That one is here because it shows the ceiling.

Where this applies
The work is the same shape whatever the project is. A proposal exists on paper. A regulator, a council, a band or a room full of residents has to decide about it. Between those two things sits a gap that drawings do not close.
We have closed that gap for open-pit mines and their closure plans, transmission corridors, wind arrays, watercourse crossings, shoreline infrastructure, underground workings and subsea installations. The common factor is never the sector. It is that something is proposed, it will sit on real ground, and somebody has to say yes.

Ironfin’s visualizations have been used in consultation and regulatory affairs at Agnico Eagle’s Nunavut operations, supporting approvals for expansions and new developments.
A Hudson Bay pump station moved forward after the community saw exactly what would be built on their shoreline, and approved it.
The Government of Nunavut inquired about our drone services after seeing our 3D flyover renders, mistaking them for actual footage.
